It is hard to sum up our church’s character in a few sentences because like all churches, we mean many different things to many different people.  Probably the most accurate statement is to say that we are a community who comes together to experience God.

Here are some things you might like to know about our church:

We like to focus on ministry.  We gather for Bible Study, Prayer, Sunday School and Worship.  We also gather for our weekly Soup Kitchen which helps feed heart, soul and body of our community, not just our church members.

We care deeply for our members and our community.  We don’t care about your social status or employment status.  We just want to get to know you.  We will do our best to make you feel welcome and hopefully you will experience God’s grace within our walls.  Although we are not perfect, (we are in fact many unique people with many different flaws) we are in the process of becoming like Christ and work to bring His kingdom here on earth. 

We love to give.  We give of ourselves; our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our witness.  We want to spread God’s love into the world so we have ministries outside our church.  Some of our passions include; Richardson Park Community Action Program (CAP), Friendship House, Neighborhood House, Prison Fellowship, Sunday Breakfast Mission and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) which provides for emergencies around the world.
